]]>Elaborating on the Customer Convenience Package, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director, Service, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said:
It is our constant endeavor to offer our customers a hassle-free and delightful car ownership experience. In our customer research, we found that customers today are more risk-averse when it comes to their cars and believe in being prepared for any eventuality regarding their vehicle. Further, they look for assurance and convenience of service from the manufacturers for the upkeep of their cars. With that in mind, we are introducing our new product offering known as CCP. CCP is specifically designed to give assurance to customers in case of unwarranted and unforeseen failures faced by the vehicle engine due to hydrostatic lock or fuel adulteration. Our customers have a choice to sign up for any of these packages and avail benefits at any Maruti Suzuki authorized workshop, across the country.
For Maruti Suzuki, “Customer First” has always been the philosophy, and hence the endeavor is to serve and create delight for all our customers. As a commitment to this, the Company has set-up over 4,200 service touchpoints across more than 2,100 cities.
Over the years, Maruti Suzuki has proactively introduced multiple innovative Service solutions. Some of these include ‘Quick Response Teams (QRT)’ to provide emergency support to customers stranded due to vehicle breakdown and the innovative ‘Service-on-Wheels’ platform where the Company provides service at customer’s doorstep.
Further, to relieve stress caused by vehicle breakdowns, Maruti Suzuki offers 24x7 roadside assistance to customers through the Maruti Suzuki Rewards application. Recently, the Company also introduced 24x7 virtual assistance through the ‘S-Assist’ offering, where customers can scan/ click/ chat and get assistance.

Interestingly, hatchbacks bagged the top four slots in the list. WagonR with over 1.83 lakh units became the highest selling car model of the year followed by Swift, Baleno and Alto 800. The eight Maruti Suzuki models contribute over 83% of the total volumes of the top 10 selling models and almost 38% of the total passenger vehicle sales volumes in 2021.

In other news, Maruti Suzuki’s Chairman RC Bhargava has recently expressed scepticism over switching to electric vehicles. Speaking at the 61st annual convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), he said that the country’s largest carmaker will not be entering the EV space in the short term. Bhargava’s concern is that entry-level car buyers don’t have the financial heft required to purchase cars that comply with European standards. Also, electric vehicles are not targeted at people who fall in the low-income brackets and, thus, should not be the first in line to be incentivised.
]]>The Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG would have identical exterior elements and styling as its petrol-powered counterpart that is currently on sale in the market. Features such as stylish front chrome grille, muscular front skid plate, attractive LED DRLs and LED headlamps are expected to make their way into the new model. Similarly, the side profile of the compact SUV would be kept busy by the black body cladding that imparts a bolder look. And at the rear, we would have combination type taillights with a signature LED glow pattern. We are also expecting to see some sort of badging to identify the vehicle as a CNG variant.

The interior of the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG would feature an all-black theme with silver accents here and there. There would be a 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls and a leather wrap. Maruti Suzuki could also provide a touchscreen infotainment system that we have seen in the petrol-powered Brezza. As for the cabin space, it would be identical to the current model.
As per a leaked image, the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG would use the same 1.5L K15B BS6 engine that is also doing duties in the petrol variants of the car. This motor in its petrol version produces 77 kW or 104 HP of max power at 6000 rpm and 138 Nm of peak torque at 4400 rpm. However, the same engine tweaked to run on CNG would churn out 68 kW or 92 PS of max power at 6000 rpm and 122 Nm of peak torque at 4400 rpm.

In terms of safety features, the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG would be equipped with dual airbags, ABS, and EBD. Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) could also be included as a part of the overall package.
We are expecting to learn more about the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG in the near future. So, keep checking this space to stay updated.
]]>While we don’t have any spy images of the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG, we have come across an image on the internet that claims to contain the engine specs of the said model. This tells us that apart from the Swift CNG and Dzire CNG, Maruti Suzuki is also working on Vitara Brezza CNG. It is being speculated that the company will provide a CNG variant of all models that fall under its Arena brand.

As should be the case, the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG would be slightly less powerful and have less torque than its petrol-powered counterpart. The drop in figures should not become a hindrance in performance for a normal user. However, enthusiastic drivers would notice some differences. On the plus side, the CNG model would return higher mileage than the petrol version that has a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.03 kmpl with the MT and 18.76 kmpl with the AT.
